It is not difficult to get USA visa. If you have documents completely and do not have any negative things in your police record, it is valid in every country that you can get your visa because the duty of the consulate is to give visa.

Your duty is to prepare your documents and do what they say and to persuade them that you will not stay in their country for long time, get around and return to your country. It is impossible to give a rate of being refused.

Especially it is impossible to guess it for America because you should appy for the visa individually. If you prepare your documents completely, you can get your visa.

First of all you should be there on time.

Apart from this, you should not forget that you should persuade them about that you will not stay there illegally or will not want to work there.

You should be careful about your clothes and should not wear casual clothes and should go there in a neat way.

You should give short and fast answers. If you answer late, they think that you will give suspicious answers. The questions are determined before.

They will ask you why you go there, where you will stay, whether there is somebody you know or there are relatives living there. You should give short and fast answers. You should know English. You are Turkish and do not have to know English very well to travel a country. You have to know these rules for American visa interview.

Consulates realizes that and they are responsible for helping you while going their country. So you can speak Turkish or you can speak English if you want to show your English.

How much Money does Work and Travel programme cost?

Work and Travel programme cost is about between 2500-2800 dollars. What is the difference between these prices? The registering price taken from foundation varies. There are foundations costing 900 or 1200 dollars. Also the fix expenses are 15 Turkish Liras now.

The allowance is important. Plane ticket is 850 dollars. For passport you pay 150 dollars. You can get your visa by paying 116 dollars to American Embassy. Also you have to have at least 500 dollars as allowance. Also the foundation wants registering payment.

What kind of jobs can not we do by Work & Travel in America?

The students who go to America by Work & Travel can not work in these branches : First of all, education and health section. They can not work in children summer camps. They can not work as an oper by looking after the babies or children. They can not work in illegal places.

For example; one of the students who went to America by Work & Travel was not allowed to work in a shop that sells alcholic drinks. They can not work in such these shops.

If we talk about the reasons, the American may not want to maket he different nationality people work in their education and health section because the conditions of this programme is determined by the American government.

Who can join Work & Travel programme?

The ones who are 18 and above it and go to unversity can join this progamme. They have to know English as much as they can use daily speaking. Also American government wants the successful students to come to America. So they require grade point average. The students have to have grade point average as at least 2.

What kind of visa can people get while going to America?

The visa type applied on Work & Travel is the visiter visa which includes working permission. To get this visa, the one has to have Work & Travel conditions. They have to be student, know English intermediate level English and have to above 18 and the limit is 30 age but the embassy examines the people who are above 25 in detailed.

If there are some blanks about what you did in your past, they examine this. They made an interview especially about school information. They want everybody to bring their transcripts. They want you to have average grade point at least 2. If it is not 2, they can not get visa. If so, they can get visa in a comfortable way.

In what kind of jobs can the student do when he goes to America?

The employers see the students coming there by Work & Travel as unqualified people. For example, it is not possible to work in education and health section and summer children camps or as a oper. Apart from this, they can work everywhere. They can work in cafeterias, shopping centers, fastfood restaurants and also they can work in holiday centers.

First of all we suggest our students to find job on their own. The student who found a contact about finding a job can join this programme and wants contact about visa operations. After finishing visa operations, he can g oto America and can find job.

What is Work&Travel USA?

It is an Exchange programme providing university students work in seasonal work in USA in summer. American government determines that this is a cultural Exchange programme.

In fact, Work & Travel is supported by the other countries to work in seasonal busy working days and with this progamme the student does not have to work but the student got j1 visa and he has to show that he works in a shop or another place. The students join this programme to earn allowance.

Who pay travel and accomodation payment in Work & Travel programme?

The student pays these payments. Especially plane ticket is a cost to be paid before going to America. The prices are about 850 dollars but this price is fort he East states of America.

If it is a state in Western – for example California – You have to pay between 1100 or 1200 euros. Also acommodation is a cost the students have to pay. Some of the employers can say that they can pay the acommodation.

In such these situations, working timetable and salar yare discussed and also allowance is determined too. The employer provides the acommodation. The students is given a room, they have dormitories and the students can share the apartment or dormitory as 5 or 6 people.

What are the places that should be visited certainly in New York?

After arriving in New York, we must prepare a plan so that we can know where to go and how to go. If we travel with a tour agency, it is ok but if you don’t, this is very important. Certainly, we could suggest you to visit Twin Towers before it wasn’t destroyed but now it is gone for ever.

Therefore, one of the most important places that should be seen is the Empire State Building. This is an important building;it is a 442 high, 102-storied building consisting of 1576 stairs. Its construction was finished in 1931, it is one of the places where you can see all New York City and it is one of the most beautiful places… There are some places you should see after all of these ones because there is the Statue of Liberty. This France’s present to America for 100. hundred reminder. After you go to New York, see the Empire State Building, you can arrive The Statue of Liberty by the most beautiful boats and vessels.

The Statue of Liberty is not only New York’s but also The World’s symbol. It is 93- meter high but we give you bad news. Because of terorism events, you cant arrive the stone point up the stairs but you can go up till bedplate. It is not compulsory but I suggest you to go there…

Why don’t we visit museums when we come to New York? We will visit Metropolitan Museum. Although it is stil a borrowing museum from The World History, it is a unique museum.

Don’t return from New York without passing through the Central Park because only this park can jolly a place up.

When you come here, you should watch a musical. Then you can arrange a New York travel in a short time.

How is the transportation in New York?

One of the capital towns in the World is New York. New York is really a beautiful city despite its blasted towers… Then, what must we do when we want to come here? Directly, you can enjoy arriving in New York in 9-10 hours by buying a ticket from Turkish Airlines. Beside flying directly, there is a visa problem about entry permit. What kind of American visa problem is this? Until the 11 September Twin Towers scandal, Turkish people could get visa easily. Before this situation, America used to give lifelong visa permit. After this terorism events, there happened to be some problems with the frame of the rules. America started to give 10-year visa and it wasn’t easy to take visa because America gives visa if it accepts the person suitable according to the interview where they scan fingerprint and retina.

After getting the visa, there is only thing left to do!! – to go and get around America, New York. When you go to New York, it is useless to stay for 3-5 days because New York is a seperate world. 7 or 8 days can be enough to get around New York. If you want to be here and get around more, 15 days can be suitable.

How is the climate in New York?

The world has 4 seasons; Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter but New York has 2 seasons. Whatever happens, never go to New York in Winter. Skyscrapers are seperated as a blok. When you work between two bloks, you can find yourself not to walk as you are frozen. Therefore don’t go to New York in Winter…

In summer, in other words; in early spring you can feel the temperature after April. In summer, unfortunately you can hardly walk because of the smoke of the cars, skyscrapers, taxis and their exhaust fumes and the high temperature of the air..

September, October and November are the best months to go to New York.

How is the food culture in New York?

The only city where you can eat 4 times big your meals and there are a lot of different restaurants is New York. It is impossible to forget the sausage sellers on the streets. Do you know know all these sausage sellers are Arabian Muslums? You can relax because they never use pork. They prepare shish kebabs by using veal, mutton and beef plus they sell chicken shish. You can eat these sausages tastefully. Isn’t it sensible to eat a sandwich for 2 dollars instead of going to restaurats? The biggest feature is that you can find all the world’s food culture in New York. Briefly, Turkish don’t suffer from food.

Do you miss Turkish meals? Dervish Restaurant waits for you on the 45. avenue, 7. street. Including its delicious stuffed vegetables and borlotti beans in olive oil, wonderful Turkish food waits for you. Of course, you will eat some things in America but there is not a special food of America. The important one is to eat according to your palatal delight. Then you can go to New York to eat the most beautiful food of the World.
